Position: Social Worker
OBJECTIVE: The Social Worker is responsible for intakes, assessments, ongoing case management, psychosocial support and follow-up for child survivors of Online Sexual Exploitation (OSEC).
LOCATION: The Philippines
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with the pickup of survivors from referring agency and placement at shelter
- Conducts intake interviews of survivors
- Accompanies survivor to court sessions
- Provides case management by liaising with other service providers to get survivors’ needs met
- Provides psychosocial support for survivors of OSEC
- Facilitates reintegration, including conducting home visits when necessary (if possible with a DSWD Officer) to assess each family’s safety and risk factors, social economic, health situation and other issues.
- Provides preparation and basic counseling to help prepare families for re-integration especially concerning issues of protection and stigma
- Works in collaboration and consultation with other social workers
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in social work
- At least two years of previous experience working as a social worker
- Christian faith as evidenced by willingness to provide a statement of faith and sign the Apostle’s Creed. More information on this requirement can be found here.

Position: Clinical Supervisor/Program Manager
OBJECTIVE: The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for clinical development of WHI’s trafficking in persons (TIP) program in the Philippines. WHI is a leader in the provision of trauma informed care and reintegration services to survivors of sex trafficking and labor trafficking. The majority of WHI’s TIP programming is funded by grants, although there are other funding streams like individual and church donations and occasionally gifts-in-kind. WHI’s main TIP programs are implemented in Sierra Leone, Liberia, and the Philippines.
LOCATION: The Philippines
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Remain current on trends in TIP in The Philippines.
- Work with field staff to manage the project funded by the U.S. Department of State Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (J/TIP). Ensure compliance with all grant requirements and serve as WHI’s liaison in The Philippines.
- Assist in the development of quality case management processes to ensure sound assessment, planning, engagement with government and other service providers and involvement of the client in decisions affecting his/her future.
- Provide clinical supervision, training, coaching and follow-up for social work staff in developing their technical capacities/skills. Helps ensure that staff understand and implement minimum standards of practice regarding case management policies and procedures.
- Provide technical assistance to other departments in The Philippines where there are child protection issues.
- Draft regular donor reports and annual program reports.
- Actively support and represent the values and mission of WHI in conduct and communications.
- Mentor staff to ensure high levels of motivation, commitment, capacity and teamwork.
- Promote emotional care for clinical and caregiving staff.
- Work closely with the Department of Social Welfare and Development in The Philippines.
- Report directly to, and work closely with, the Director of Anti-Trafficking and Gender Based Violence.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree in mental health field from an accredited university.
- At least two years of previous experience in providing mental health care.
- Experience in implementing programs as well as technical knowledge in TIP preferred.
- Experience working in The Philippines, and/or a relief or development context preferred.
